Important Tips for Making the Most of Your Trip to Eleuthera

Eleuthera is not a highly developed island - a leading reason it is such a beautiful Bahamian escape! Without the development, there are some western comforts that you won’t find on the island. Rental cars are handled directly with Eleutheran individuals through Whats App and are usually paid for in cash. Google “Eleuthera Rental Cars” to find contact numbers with plenty time before your trip. A rental car is necessary if you plan to leave your resort or house. There are no ride share services on the island and hitch hiking is a commonly used mode of travel!

In addition to transportation, restaurants are open seasonally. If you are visiting Eleuthera in the shoulder or off season, be aware that there may not be off-resort options to explore. The main season is from December through April, with November and May being shoulder months.
